If you are subscribed to popular companies for your HR and employment law support, you might be tired of explaining them what the issue is, doing all the work yourself regardless and still paying them a retainer fee. It can be frustrating, slow as you talk to a different advisor every time and most importantly, they do not know your organisation personally and are too risk-averse to recommend what will actually get a fair outcome for your company and the employees.
If any of the above fits your circumstance, I would love to have a chat with you.
I provide practical, outsourced HR and employment law support for UK employers who don’t have — or don’t need — a full-time HR team. I help you get the basics right, stay compliant as the law changes, and handle people issues fairly and confidently.
WHY YOU NEED IT
- Employment law is changing fast in the UK. The Employment Rights Act 2025 is being phased in through 2026–27, and most small employers will need to update contracts, policies and processes.
- 1 October 2026: the time limit for most employment tribunal claims doubles from three to six months.
- 30 October 2026: employers must take “all reasonable steps” to prevent sexual harassment at work — a higher bar than before.
- 1 January 2027: unfair dismissal protection starts after six months’ service (currently two years) and the compensation cap is removed. How you recruit, run probation and manage performance matters more than ever.
- Mistakes are costly. Tribunal awards can be increased by up to 25% where an employer fails to follow the ACAS Code on discipline and grievance.
- Small businesses carry the same legal duties as large ones — without an HR department to lean on. Every hour a manager spends untangling a people problem is an hour away from running the business.
